Nutrition Part 2 of 2 – Beyond the Scale: Addressing Pediatric Obesity in Everyday Practice
This one-hour live webinar will explore the multifactorial nature of pediatric obesity and provide clinicians with evidence-based tools for early recognition and management in everyday practice. The session will review current epidemiology, pathophysiologic mechanisms, comorbidities, and complications of obesity in children and adolescents. Participants will learn how to apply the 2023 AAP Clinical Practice Guidelines, integrate pharmacotherapy when appropriate, and utilize practical nutrition and behavioral counseling strategies. The course will also address the role of ultra-processed foods (UPFs) on pediatric health.
