Course Summary: This course will review the most common genetics and environmental causes of developmental defects of teeth and enamel. The diagnoses, etiology and clinical appearance, and treatment considerations will be discussed to provide practitioners practical information used to treat manage patients. Clinical conditions to be presented will include molar hypo mineralization, amelogenesis imperfecta, fluorosis and other dental anomalies that challenge clinicians. Therapies presented will include esthetic approaches using bleaching, resin infusion, micro abrasion and restorative approaches to address esthetics, dental sensitivity and tooth structure loss secondary to caries, wear and tooth fracturing.
